"Good Times" Star Ja'Net DuBois Has Died at 74

Actress, singer and songwriter Ja'Net DuBois has passed away at the age of 74.

TMZ reports that the actress famous for her role as " Willona Woods" on breakthrough US African-American TV show Good Times was found dead today in her Glendale, CA, home. Her cause of death has yet to be determined.

The multi-talented DuBois was also tapped to write and sing the theme song for fellow CBS TV show focused on black Americans, The Jeffersons.

One of DuBois' sub-plots on Good Times involved her character Willona adopting an abused girl, played by Janet Jackson.
