
Ahead of the premiere of the multi-part docudrama Genius: Aretha, fans can now hear Cynthia Erivo take on one of the Queen of Soul's most iconic numbers: "Chain of Fools."
Originally released on 1968's Lady Soul, Erivo's cover was heard in part in the trailer for the new eight-part miniseries spotlighting the life and career of one of America's most captivating singers. The two-time Oscar nominee act and sings as Aretha as she ascended to the top of the pop charts in the late 1960s. Emmy and Tony winner Courtney B. Vance co-stars as Aretha's father, the Rev. C.L. Franklin.

Genius: Aretha airs Sunday, March 21 on NatGeo, running two episodes per night through March 24 - one day before what would have been Aretha's 79th birthday. All episodes will be available on Hulu the day after their broadcast.
