SOULMUSIC RECORDS in association with PLATINUM GARAGE RECORDINGS is proud to present a second volume of “PHILLY SOUL SELECT – A PRESTON GLASS PRODUCTION,” an 11-track digital release follow up to the popular January 2021 first volume. The album is released on November 19, 2021 and available on all major digital platforms worldwide, distributed by Warner X.
As with volume one, the idea for paying tribute to the music of The City Of Brotherly Love was created by award-winning producer/songwriter Preston Glass (who started his professional career with the legendary Thom Bell as his mentor) and David Nathan (who championed the many influential producers, songwriters, artists and musicians to come out of Philadelphia through his work as a British music journalist in the ‘70s and beyond).
PHILLY SOUL SELECT VOL. 2 includes new recordings of Philly classics such as “I’m Stone In Love With You,” “Used Ta Be My Girl,” “Right On The Tip Of My Tongue,” “Children Of The Night” and “You’re My Greatest, Latest Inspiration” along with tracks that pay homage to the Philly soul sound such as “Say It Like You Mean It” (by Takim Brown), “Yesterday’s Gone” (by Eugene Cole), “Got My Swagger Back” (by Ron Tyson) and “In A Romantic Mood” (by Preston Glass ft. Gemia Burns).
