In a timely manner, as he is inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame on November 8th 2025, we present “Thom Bell – A Tribute To Musical Excellence,” a Preston Glass Production, an homage to the legacy of the legendary producer/arranger/composer. One of the mainstays of the ‘Philly Sound,’ Thom created a sound uniquely identifiable, indelibly stamped on 20th century contemporary music.
As a particularly personal nod for Preston Glass (who cites Thom as a major musical mentor) and co-executive producer David Nathan (who first met Thom in 1975 and with whom he enjoyed an ongoing association), this beautifully-crafted selection of 10 songs among the dozens of Thom’s classic compositions and productions.
Included are songs such as “Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time),” originally popularized by The Delfonics; “Ghetto Child” and “Just As Long As We Have Love” from the catalogue of gems by The Spinners; a wonderful medley of “La-La Means I Love You” and “You Are Everything”; a reimagined version of “Children Of The Night”; plus a brand new recording, “Don’t Follow The Drama,” inspired by the classic “I’ll Be Around.”
Artists featured on this stellar collection include The Delfonics, Bob Baldwin, Chris Burke, Cliff Dawson, Tony Lindsay & Angel Rose, Pharaoh’s Dream (ft. Will Downing and Najee) and Brandon Wattz.
